You are required to take a language test in English or French. These tests help to assess your language skills on four language abilities: writing, reading, speaking, and listening.
You need at least a Comprehensive Language Benchmark (CLB) 5 in speaking and listening and CLB 4 in reading and writing.

Education requirements for Federal Skilled Trades Program
There is no specific requirement of any educational qualifications to be eligible for FSTP. However, your education credentials can help to improve your rank in the Express Entry Pool by adding extra CRS.
The foreign degree holders are required to have an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) to prove that the degree, diploma, or certificate is equivalent to a Canadian one.
