Canada is increasing and extending it’s Multi-year Immigration levels plan through 2021 by setting a new target of 1.3 million new permanent residents between 2018 and 2021.
The progressions were declared as a major aspect of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC’s) 2017 answer to Parliament that was made open October 31. By expanding the targets and extending the immigration plan, Canada is set to welcome now 1.3 million newcomers through the different economic, family and refugee and humanitarian immigration visa categories between 2018 and 2021, in light of it’s yearly targets.
The new 2019-2021 immigration plan calls for bit by bit expanding affirmations focuses on every year up to 350,000 of every 2021. The objectives for 2019 and 2020, initially set at 330,000 and 340,000, separately, have now been expanded to 330,800 and 341,000. Canada’s Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship, Ahmed Hussein, said in his introduction to the report, “Under this Immigration plan, Canada will welcome more Highly Skilled professionals with the abilities and mastery to contribute to the economic growth of Canada”.
